integrative care that honors body, mind, and spirit

about my practice

I refer to my work as 5 Elements Osteopathy—a practice shaped by movement, flow, and deep respect for the natural world and the body’s inherent ability to heal.

It is rooted in a blend of Western medical knowledge and traditional healing systems, guided by the principle that true wellness arises from balance across body, mind, and spirit.

Osteopathic Medicine is a whole-person approach to hands-on care. It integrates a deep understanding of the musculoskeletal system, metabolism, circulation, the nervous system, and mental-emotional health with contemporary medical knowledge. DOs (Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine) are trained to use their hands to sense, diagnose, and treat—always listening for the priorities set by the body’s own healing intelligence.

Creating a plan that works for you

In my practice, I also draw from traditional Eastern healing systems, including Japanese acupuncture, shiatsu, and cupping. These practices complement osteopathy by emphasizing palpation, energy flow, and individualized care.

Ayurveda, the sister science to Yoga, adds poetic depth to medical understanding. It offers a framework for interpreting imbalances through the lens of elemental qualities—heat, cold, dryness, wetness—and tailoring treatments accordingly through food, herbs, lifestyle, and seasonal rhythms.

Narrative medicine and Indigenous healing traditions remind us that health is also shaped by story—our relationships with land, community, and self. These approaches help reframe how we experience illness and healing.

By integrating these perspectives, I strive to offer care that is responsive, respectful, and attuned to the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.
